Balochistan, a region plagued by social injustice and economic hardship, is currently grappling with a significant issue that has stirred controversy. The recent directive from the Inspector General (IG) of Police to close down doesel pumps has raised numerous questions about the underlying motives. Baloch people are now faced with a difficult decision: how can they support their families while striving for justice in a system that appears to be working against them?

Regrettably, Balochistan’s abundant natural resources have long been misused and exploited, with authorities turning a blind eye to these practices. In response, the Baloch people have resorted to trading diesel as a means to sustain their families. It is disheartening to witness that this form of commerce, which enables their livelihoods, is unjustly labeled as smuggling. This unfair system not only exacerbates existing inequalities but also hinders the progress of the Baloch people.

In light of these challenges, the Baloch people find themselves at a crossroads. How can they navigate a system designed to suppress them and prevent them from providing for their families? While ensuring their survival is crucial, upholding principles of integrity is equally important. The opportunity to support their families and live with dignity should be accessible to all individuals.

To move forward, the Baloch people must carefully consider their options. They can choose to accept the prevailing injustices and maintain the status quo, even if it means their families will suffer. However, such a decision would perpetuate their marginalization and impede any possibility of improvement.

Alternatively, the Baloch people can unite and demand justice, expressing their rights through peaceful means. They have a direct role in shaping a more equitable society. Although they have attempted to engage with local and federal authorities in the past, their pleas have sadly been ignored. It is crucial to remind those in power of their duty to protect the rights and welfare of every citizen. Despite these reminders, no concrete action has been taken thus far.

Finding alternative sources of income for the Baloch people is also paramount. Implementing sustainable development programs can provide them with access to various revenue streams. This may involve investing in infrastructure, agriculture, and education, all of which can contribute to economic growth and reduce dependence on the diesel trade.

In conclusion, the Baloch people find themselves in an incredibly challenging situation. Their ability to support their families is intrinsically linked to their pursuit of justice. The choices they make today will shape their future. Will they continue to endure inequality, or will they stand up for their rights and demand a brighter future? Although the path ahead is arduous, the Baloch people must remain resilient and united in their quest for justice and a more promising tomorrow.
