Eight people have allegedly forcibly disappeared from Khuzdar, Gwadar, and the Turbat areas of Balochistan within three days.
According to reports, Pakistani forces have cordoned off various areas of Khauzdar’s Zehri tehsil, including Noorgama, Balbal, Chashma, Trasani, Mashk, and surrounding areas since Monday.
Pakistani forces reportedly conducted several house raids during the siege in Zehri — where forces allegedly detained six people and shifted them to an undisclosed location. One of the detainees has been identified as Yasir son of Gul Mohammad, a resident of Balbal Zehri.
Sources said that communication networks, including the internet, have been shut down in the area, while the district authorities have not yet commented in this regard.
Meanwhile, another man has been forcibly disappeared allegedly by Pakistani forces from Balochistan’s coastal city of Gwadar in Balochistan and shifted to an undisclosed location. The man who disappeared from the Kalanchipada area of Gwadar has been identified as Sajid, son of Khalid.
As per local sources, the man is basically a resident of Dasht, who was currently living in Gwadar after migrating from his native area due to military operations.
Similarly, a well-known poet of the Balochi language Sakhi Bakhsh alias Saki Sawar went missing reportedly from Turbat city of Kech district.
Sakhi Bakhsh is a resident of Khuzdar who reportedly went missing when he left his house on Monday. His whereabouts remain unknown since.
Bakhsh’s family confirmed his disappearance and called the authorities to take action and recover him safely.
It should be noted that Sakhi teaches many people in the Balochi language. There are a large number of students who have learned Balochi “Siyag Rast Nabisag” from him.
