A Baloch armed group, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on Monday took responsibility for killing a man in Karachi city — the group said the man was a “Pakistani agent”.
According to the media statement released by BLA, its fighters acting on information from BLA’s intelligence wing, killed a man named Noor Mohammad in Yosuf Goth Karachi on March 25, 2023.
As per sources, Noor Mohammad is originally from the Panjgur district of Balochistan and was currently residing in Karachi city of the Sindh province.
BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said: “Noor Mohammad alias Saqim was wanted by BLA due to his role in aiding the Pakistani military in the martyrdom of Tabish alias Rehan of BLA’s Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS).” He further added that Noor Mohammad had also aided the “occupying Pakistani military in various other offensives” in Panjgur and adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, another armed group known as the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) took responsibility for attacking an office of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Military Intelligence (MI), in Turbat city of Balochistan’s district Kech.
Ghoram Baloch, the spokesman for the group issued a statement saying that on the night of March 26, the BLF fighters attacked the two security fronts of the MI’s headquarters near the Girls College in the main city of Turbat.
“BLF fighters attacked the office with modern weapons, in which one MI officer was killed and another injured,” the statement reads.
