A forcibly disappeared person allegedly by the CTD was found unconscious after the release and lost his life on the way before reaching the hospital, in the Kharan district of Balochistan.

According to reports, last week a man named Salauddin s/o Zafar Ali was allegedly arrested by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), he remained missing till the day he was released half-dead and succumbed to his injuries later.

According to sources, Salauddin was in a very critical condition.

The family of the victim said that they have also contacted the police in this regard, but no information has been received regarding the incident.

It should be noted that such incidents have been reported before. In September 2020, a man named Hameed s/o Anwar also died four days after his release. While in December 2018, a young man Dilawar s/o Shahmir was also released in critical condition, severely tortured — he succumbed to his injuries later.

However, the government authorities haven’t taken notice nor commented on any of these incidents.
