According to a statement issued by the Baloch Students Council, Hafeez Baloch, a student of Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, who went missing from Khuzdar this year, has been handed over to Dera Murad Jamali Police on Wednesday, by Pakistani secret services.
Hafeez Baloch reportedly met his family at the police station in Dera Murad Jamali. According to Hafeez’s friends, the police have filed false charges against him. Whereas, the police administration in Dera Murad Jamali has yet to comment on the issue.
Hafeez Baloch was allegedly abducted by Pakistani intelligence agencies on February 8, while teaching at a private academy in Khuzdar. He was on vacation in his hometown, where he spent his free time teaching the children of his town at a private academy.
Meanwhile, two more Baloch students studying in Lahore city of Pakistan’s Punjab province, have gone missing.
According to Dawn News reporter Imran Gabol from Lahore, the students from Balochistan were abducted from a tea stall in Lahore Muslim Town by men dressed in civilian clothes at 10 pm on Tuesday. The absucted students are identifies as, Adam son of Muhammad Ali and Imran son of Shabbir Ahmed, both are students at Punjab College Lahore.
Another Baloch student confirmed the incident saying that Imran and Adam were first-year students from the Tijaban area of the Kech district of Balochistan, and that they had previously been abducted by security agencies from Lahore. He further stated that the two students had earlier gone missing in Lahore along with two other Baloch students in January this year but all four students were later recovered.
Meanwhile, another man from Balochistan’s Kech district has rallegedly been abducted by Pakistani forces. The missing person has been identified as Muslim son of Akram.
According to sources, the said person is a labour in the UAE and had recently returned to his hometown for vacations—where he was detained and disappeared by Pakistani forces.
It should be noted that, in the absence of job possibilities in Balochistan, the majority of Balochistan’s youth seek jobs in Gulf countries. Pakistani intelligence agencies are accused of forcibly disappear them when they return to Balochistan.
