The persons, including a student at the University of Balochistan, have gone missing in Kech and Quetta.

According to details, two youngsters have reportedly gone missing in the Tump area of district Kech on Thursday. The two youngsters are cousins and they were identified as Saari Baloch s/o Ibrahim Baloch and Sheeraz Baloch s/o Ismail Baloch. They were allegedly detained by the Pakistani security forces and moved to an unknown location.

According to the family members, Saari Baloch is a student of fourth-year in the Physics department of the University of Balochistan. Following the closure of the university, he had returned home for the holidays when he was picked up by the security forces along with his cousin Sheeraz Baloch.

The family members said that the two youngsters must be released. They are students and if they are involved in any sort of crime, they must be produced before the court and prosecuted legally. They also appealed to the All Parties Kech, student organizations and human rights groups to raise their voice for the recovery of the two students.

In a similar incident in Quetta, the laboratory in charge of the Yaseen Hospital, Muhammad Ayoub s/o Muhammad Karim Sarparra, went missing, allegedly at the hands of the Pakistani security forces. He was reportedly picked up by the personnel of the Frontier Corps dressed in civilian clothes. He was moved to an unknown location.

Muhammad Ayoub was a resident of the Kardgaap area of Mastung.

Local sources told The Balochistan Post that the security forces raided several houses in Mastung where they not only trespassed on the privacy of the Baloch households and harassed the women and children in the house.

It should be mentioned that the security forces also picked up Rashid s/o Muhammad Yousaf on December 17 from Kardgaap. The forced had also detained his brother Zakir previously in September along with a friend named Muddasir s/o Takri Saifullah. The former was released a few days later, but Zakir and his brother Rashid are still missing.
