District and Session Judge Quetta, Dawood Khan Nasar had convicted a child rapist to 10 years rigorous imprisonment.
According to the prosecution, the accused Hasnain Abbas had subjected an eight-year-old boy to sexual abuse in civil line area of Quetta, the capital city.
A case was registered against the accused on June 24, 2021, in the civil line police station jurisdiction. Police had arrested the accused involved in the sexual abuse case, soon after the registration of the case.
The judgment was announced on Tuesday and the accused was convicted to 10 years rigorous imprisonment. The court also fined the accused the amount of Rs. 2 lakh.
In the case of non-payment of the fine, the accused has to face one-year extra jail. Police shifted the accused to jail after the announcement of the judgment.
