Pakistani forces allegedly arrested and disappeared two youths from Kardegap area of district Mastung, on Tuesday.

According to reports, Zakir Baloch son of Muhammad Yusuf and Mudassar s/o Saifullah Sarparra, residents of Kardegap were detained by Pakistani forces when they were on their way to Noshki district of Balochistan. Their whereabouts are unknown since.

After the detention of aforementioned youths, Frontier Corps cordoned off the area in the evening and raided Zakir Baloch’s house. His house was searched and ransacked by the security personnel, family sources said. Security forces personnel are also alleged of the physical abuse of people at the football ground in the area.

Families of the victims are in a state of panic after their abduction. Wheresas, the recent reports of “fake encounters” by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have raised fears among the families of the victims of enforced disappearances, that their loved ones will be killed in fake encounters.
