On Wednesday night, unknown assailants killed senior lawyer, Azmat Kasi Advocate on Quetta’s Double Road.

According to Police sources: unknown accused entered into the chamber of Azmat Kasi and killed him inside his office.

The attackers managed to escape the scene. Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.

“The reason behind the murder could not be ascertained immediately,” police said.

All lawyers elected bodies strongly condemned the incident and demanded the arrest of the culprits involved in the murder. “Lawyers are not safe here”, Munir Kakar, a senior lawyer said.

The lawyers’ organizations announced a boycott of courts on Thursday (June 10) across Balochistan to mourn the killing of a senior lawyer. “We want protection of members of legal fraternity”, Ishaq Nasar advocate, a senior lawyer said. He further added that the government has failed to provide protection to the members of the legal fraternity in Balochistan.
