The central spokesman of Baloch Students Organization Azad (BSO-A) expressed concerns over the increase in extrajudicial arrests of Baloch students and said that Balochistan has been turned into a no-go area for the last 70 years where no one is safe. People have been extra-judicially arrested and transferred to unknown locations and have been kept out of the sight for years, while hundreds of victims of enforced disappearances have been martyred during the torture and this trend is still going on in Balochistan.

He said that extrajudicial arrests have affected people from all walks of life but in recent days there has been a worrying increase in extrajudicial arrests of Baloch students in Balochistan.

The spokesman further said in his statement that the security forces arrested Sana Siapad, an M.Phil student of Allama Iqbal University from Kharan and moved him to an unknown location while Nasir son of Pehlwan and Jahanzeb son of Rafiq were arrested from Absar area of Turbat.

He said that in recent cases, Nasir, a student of Bahauddin Zakaria University, while Rafiq is a student of Uthal University, are included. Earlier, a student of Karachi University was also abducted from Turbat. “On one hand, the epidemic of corona virus has caused educational difficulties for Baloch students, on the other hand, the extrajudicial arrests of students has not only increased their difficulties but has also created an atmosphere of mental anguish and fear among them,” spokesperson said.

Later today, four more persons were abducted from Kech district of Balochistan.

According to reports from local sources, Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies in a joint operation arrested four people from Bilnagor area of Dasht and shifted them to their military camp.

The missing persons were identified as Zain son of Sharaf Shad, Wahag son of Wahid Baloch, Wasim son of Ibrahim and Beebagr son of Dad Karim.

It is to mention that the problem of missing persons in Balochistan is getting worse day by day, while protests are taking place in Balochistan and foreign countries by various political parties and organizations to recover the missing persons. A peaceful protest on daily basis by the families of the victims is also continued over a decade now.
