Pakistani forces convoy attacked on CPEC route in Panjgur district of Balochistan on Monday.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, An ambush attack was carried out on Pakistani forces convoy on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route which passes through the Sabz-aap area of Panjgur.

A large number of security forces reached to the site after the attack and cordoned off the area.

“Two security forces personnel were killed in the attack”, official sources confirmed.

Whereas, the responsibility of the attack was later claimed by Baloch Republican Army (BRA), a pro-independence militant group.

BRA has claimed that it was a joint attack with another Baloch militant group, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

The spokesperson of BRA, Beebagr Baloch has said in a press releas, “Fighters of BRA and BLA attacked frontier corps (FC) convoy on CPEC route between the Sabz-aap and Sorap area of Panjgur on Monday morning.

“Six security forces personnel were killed and three others were injured in the attack and two vehicles were completely damaged”, he claimed.

Beebarg Baloch further stated that “our joint militant operations will continue for the national independence.

A new surge has been witnessed lately in militant attacks on Pakistani forces and government installations in Balochistan. Some of the deadliest attacks were carried out jointly by Baloch militant groups, which seems to be a new strategy.

Two different attacks were reported previous day by BLA and BLF, Two Baloch militant groups.

BLA claimed the responsibility of an attack on oil and gas exploration company in Bolan area of Balochistan on Sunday.

The organisation’s spokesperson, Jeeyand Baloch, had claimed that “BLA fighters attacked the exploration team in Zareen Dhok area of Margat. Two security forces personnel were killed and several others received injuries in the attack”.

Jeeyand Baloch further said in the statement, “On 21 March BLA fighters targeted Pakistani forces with an IED, in Sangan area. The blast resulted in killing two bomb deposal squad personnel and injuring two local affiliates”.

Baloch pro-freedom armed groups blame Pakistan of ‘looting Baloch resources’. In past, through media statements, they have warned exploration companies to stay out of Balochistan.

In another news, Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) claimed a targeted killing of a local spy of Pakistan Army on Sunday.

Gohram Baloch, the spokesman for BLF said, “BLF fighter attacked the members of Khadim network who work for Pakistani Army. A prominent member of the network, Shifayat_ullah was killed in the attack.

“It should be understood that such spies are equally responsible in Baloch genocide, human rights violations and war crimes committed by Pakistan Army in Balochistan” he added
