Families of Baloch Missing Persons marched in Quetta for the release of their loved ones, they were also joined by politicians, activists and students.

According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, families of the victims of enforced disappearance in Balochistan marched in Quetta on Monday.

The march was organized by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, a campaign group of families of missing persons.

The leaflets regarding the protest were distributed by children and women yesterday in several areas of Quetta city.

The rally marched from Railway station and entered the city with slogans against the LEAs, who are accused of the abductions of Baloch activists, and finally stopped in front of Quetta High Court as they were barred from going further.

The rally, which had people from all walks of life, turned into a sit-in, where the families of missing persons addressed the participants.

Lashkari Raisani, Tahir Hazara and other Pashtun politicians were the prominent figures who joined the rally today at Quetta.

Addressing the rally, Lashkari Raisani said, “We do not need to prove ourselves in front of anyone, Balochistan is not merely a province, it is our motherland and we will keep loving it. Traitors are those who break the constitution and those who launder billions out of the country”.

Lashkari asked the crowd that he could not see a single politician in the rally who claim to be the true representatives of the Baloch nation.

It is pertinent to mention, the campaign for Baloch Missing Persons has entered in its 10th year as hundreds of Baloch politicians, rights activists and students remain missing even after a decade of their abduction.

According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) more than 40,000 Baloch men, women, and children are under Pakistani custody.

VBMP also alleges that at least 5,000 missing persons have been killed and dumped over last one decade.
