Pillion riding and display of weapons has been banned in Turbat city as authorities imposed section 144 in the district.
According to local TBP correspondents, authorities have placed a ban on pillion riding and public display of arms in Turbat for a month owing to security concerns.
The Home Secretary has imposed Section 144 across the district.
The decision to impose Section 144 and ban on pillion riding has been taken in view of the recent targeted killing of a Pakistani security forces personnel in the town. The responsibility for the attack was claimed by Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).
According to the notification, pillion riding and exhibition of weapons has been banned in the district to beef up security and end the activities of armed groups.
After the targeted killing of the security forces personnel on Saturday, several civilians were arrested and subsequently taken to undisclosed locations. House to house search operation was conducted in different localities of Turbat including Singaani Sir, Malik Abad and Koshkalat.
Yesterday the town had observed an unannounced general strike against the ‘ill-treatment of shopkeepers by Pakistani security forces’ after the incident.
The markets were on lockdown in the whole town on Sunday.
