A woman and her alleged lover have been killed in a so-called honor-killing incident in Dera Murad Jamali, while another woman was choked to death over domestic quarrel in Quetta.
According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, a woman in Quetta was killed by her husband over petty issues.
The victim was a resident of Sheikh Maanda area of Quetta. The accused killer, Noor Muhammad, managed to escape the crime scene after choking his wife over petty domestic issues.
Police has commenced a search operation to arrest the accused.
In another news, a men killed his wife and her alleged lover over honor, a medieval concept, in Dera Murad Jamali.
According to the police, the incident took place in Shah Pur town of DM Jamali, where a husband killed his wife and her alleged lover and managed to escape from the crime scene.
After mandatory investigation, police returned the bodies to the family of the victims.
The report of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan HRCP and NGOs working in Balochistan for human rights and woman empowerment revealed that approximately 76 women braved violence in 2016 in which 36 women mostly teenage girls lost their lives in the notorious saga of honour killings in Balochistan.
