Baloch leader Wahid Qambar’s house has been raided by Pakistani security forces in Tump.
According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, Baloch pro-freedom leader Wahid Qambar and his relatives’ houses were raided by Pakistan forces in his native town of Tump.
According to sources, few men were picked up during the raids and moved to undisclosed locations.
Baloch National Movement (BNM), the largest Pro-Independence Party in Balochistan, has condemned the harassment of family members of Baloch leaders and the abduction of their relatives.
“It is clear violation of human rights that Pakistani forces are committing in Balochistan”, BNM said in a press release.
“Arrest of political activists, abduction of women and persecution of the relatives of Baloch leaders is the continuity of Pakistan’s policy of collective punishment”, further read the BNM statement.
Pakistani forces have been accused in the past too of targeting family members and relatives of Baloch leaders.
In 2012, BRP chief Brahmdugh Bugti’s sister Zamur along with her 13-year-old daughter were killed by unknown men in Karachi.
