Devastating shelling by Pakistani helicopters have killed scores in Harnai
At least 10 including five women and children killed
Three brothers also among the dead

According to The Balochistan Post correspondent, the military operation started yesterday in Shahrag is still underway. Gunship helicopters have heavily bombarded houses belonging to Yar Mohammad Chalgari’s family and relatives. At least 10 including five women and children have been killed in the offensive so far. Many others have also been injured. Reports suggest that the injured have been taken away by the Pakistani security forces.
According to details, the military operation is still underway in different areas of Harnai and Bolan. Many houses have been burnt to ashes in Shahrag and adjoining areas. We have reports that confirm at least 10 people have died and many others have been injured in the offensive. Scores have also been abducted by security forces.
The women killed in the operation have been identified as Bibi Makhmal, Khatt Khatton and Bibi Bano. A teenage girl Mino Bibi and a minor named Jaffar have also lost their lives. 4 other women and children were reported to be injured in the operation. The injured were taken away by the Pakistani security forces.
Three brothers have also been murdered in the indiscriminate shelling by gunship helicopters. These brothers have been identified as Dilwash Marri, Afzal Marri and Rahmdil Marri. These all are sons of Washo Marri. Sabzal Marri Another son of Washo Marri, , was arrested by Pakistani security forces last year and is missing till this date. Two other deceased men have been identified as Bangul Marri s/o Haji Banzul Marri and Kalle Marri. The body of Leemo Marri has also been discovered.
According to TBP correspondent, the number of dead or injured could rise as the Nishpa mountainous area, where the operation was conducted, has completely been cordoned off. Pakistani security forces have also refused to handover the bodies of people killed in the operation.
The current military operation in Shahrag started on 16th August and has been continued since then in different phases. Many families were forced to flee their hometowns and take refuge in mountainous areas, however, now they have been attacked again.
Yar Mohammad Chalgari’s family and relatives have been target of such operations in past too. In 2016, at least 45 women and children from his family were arrested from Sangaan and kept under Pakistani detention for at least 3 months. After their release, they were forced to migrate from Sangaan to Shahrag.
According to our correspondent, on 17 August, Pakistani forces had also arrested 18 men and 7 women from Shahrag. Several women had suffered injuries during the operation.
The injured women were then arrested by Pakistani Security forces from an hospital in Harnai. The arrested women were identified as Mehr Bibi and Jan Bibi. Two children aged only 2 were also taken away. They were identified as Akhtar and Amaan Ullah.
The men arrested during the military operation on 17 August included Bangar Khan, Najeeb, Khair Mohammad, Shah Dad, Misag, Jalal Ahmed, Ghulam Haidar, Jhando, Dosto, Tawakali, Ramzan, Ali Baksh, Baloch Khan, Rehman, Qaisar and Muneeb.
The dead bodies of two arrested men Ramzan s/o Ali Baksh and Rehman s/o Noor Ali Mazarani were found the next day from Ispin Thangi.
It is pertinent to mention that military operation in Balochistan have dramatically escalated during last ten days. Operations have been conducted in different areas of Balochistan including Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Awaran, Kolwah, Dasht and Noshki in last few days. According to Baloch National Movement, a women was also sexually assaulted by personnel of Pakistani security forces in Kolwah in one such operation.
