A young man has reportedly been killed and several women injured following a quadcopter strike on a residential property in Balochistan’s Mastung district, according to local sources.

The incident is said to have taken place in the Kardigap area of Mastung during an ongoing military operation. Local media reports indicated that a house in Gargina, Killi Musa Khan, was targeted by a quadcopter drone allegedly operated by Pakistani forces.

The victim was identified as Abdul Samad, son of Abdul Wahid Sarparah, who sustained critical injuries in the strike. He was being transported to Quetta for medical treatment but died en route, sources said. Several women present in the house were also reported injured and later shifted to medical facilities, with some transferred onwards to Quetta for further care.

The reported strike comes amid heightened military activity in the area following recent attacks attributed to Baloch armed groups, in which Pakistani forces personnel were reportedly killed. Operations by Pakistani forces in Mastung are said to be ongoing.

There has been no immediate official confirmation of the incident. Authorities have previously maintained that such operations target militants; however, rights groups, including the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, have repeatedly raised concerns over reports of civilian casualties in drone strikes.

Similar allegations have surfaced in the past, including incidents in Khuzdar district, where multiple casualties, including women and children, were reported in earlier operations.
