A Pakistani army convoy came under drone attack in Balochistan’s Kalat district on Friday, according to local sources, following reported strikes on military camps in three other districts during the week.
At least three drone strikes targeted one vehicle in the convoy in the Rodeenjo area, disabling it and causing casualties among personnel on board, the sources said. Armed fighters also ambushed two other military vehicles.
The number of personnel killed or wounded remained unclear.
Local sources said a military camp in Kharan’s Patkin area was targeted in five drone strikes on Thursday and subsequently came under mortar fire. A drone also targeted another camp in Albat, but its explosives failed to detonate.
Earlier in the week, sources reported around 10 explosions during a drone attack on a military camp at Tarki Dam in Surab.

The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), meanwhile, claimed responsibility for an attack on a military camp in Sanni, Kachhi, on Thursday evening, saying it was carried out by its newly announced “Aamir Aero Guardians” drone unit.
BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch claimed casualties and damage but gave no figures. He said the unit could conduct surveillance and attack military camps, including those considered secure.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) announced its own drone unit, Qazi Aero Hive Rangers, or QAHR, in February. It said the unit had participated in attacks during the second phase of “Operation Herof”, including strikes on installations at Gwadar Port.
