The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on Monday claimed responsibility for 15 operations across Balochistan between October 20 and 26, saying more than 27 Pakistani military personnel were killed and several others wounded.

In a statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the attacks included an “intelligence-based operation” targeting the vehicle of Pakistan Coast Guards Lieutenant Colonel Bilal Jalib in Pasni.

He said the BLA’s intelligence wing, ZIRAB, had tracked the officer’s movements and that fighters targeted his vehicle with a remote-controlled IED on October 24. The blast, he added, “severely injured two enemy personnel and inflicted major damage on the military vehicle”.

Convoy Ambushes and Clashes

Jeeyand Baloch said fighters launched counterattacks at several locations as Pakistani forces advanced into Surab’s Gidar area on October 24.

“Fierce clashes between the occupying forces and Sarmachars lasted for over four hours, resulting in five enemy personnel killed and more than eleven injured,” he said.

A military convoy was also targeted with an IED followed by an armed assault in Cher Kuncheti, in Kech’s Dasht area, that day. Three vehicles came under direct fire, the statement said, claiming four personnel were killed and several wounded.

The statement also claimed an ambush near the grid station in Mastung’s Gurgina area on October 26, alleging four military personnel were killed and at least six injured.

A day earlier, fighters attacked troops advancing into Dasht Baba, killing two personnel, Jeeyand Baloch said, adding that the troops withdrew and left the bodies behind.

The group also claimed responsibility for an October 20 attack on a convoy carrying supplies to a military camp in Mastung’s Sorgaz area. It said an armoured vehicle and another vehicle were targeted, claiming casualties and material losses without providing figures.

Meanwhile, the BLA said an ambush on a convoy of military and commercial vehicles at Chotank, in Kalat’s Manguchar area, killed two personnel and injured others on October 22. It also claimed an attack on troops advancing through the same area on October 24 and another convoy attack there on October 26, in which it said one soldier was killed.

Jeeyand Baloch said two personnel travelling on foot were killed in a separate IED attack in Kalat’s Marjan area on October 24. He also claimed three personnel were killed and four wounded in an attack at Baghbanah Cross in Khuzdar the following day.

Camp and Police Station Attacks

The spokesperson said fighters attacked the Hazhdah Khol military camp in Nushki from several directions with heavy and automatic weapons on Saturday night, October 24, killing three personnel and injuring several others.

He added that reinforcements advancing through Reko the next morning were ambushed and forced to retreat. Although Pakistani forces deployed quadcopters during the fighting, they caused no losses among BLA fighters, he said.

Earlier, on October 23, a BLA sniper killed a soldier stationed at a military post in Nushki’s Zareen Jungle area, according to the statement.

The BLA also claimed responsibility for an assault on the joint Levies and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) station in Khuzdar’s Karkh area. Jeeyand Baloch said fighters blew up the main gate and engaged personnel in prolonged clashes, claiming several were killed or wounded without giving a figure.

He added that fighters severely damaged a bridge on the Quetta–Karachi trade route using heavy machinery and setting it on fire.

Fighter Killed in Tump

The BLA also released a profile of Hammal Baloch, alias Comrade Salim Baloch, who it said was killed during clashes with Pakistani forces in Kohad, Tump, on October 15.

The profile identified him as the son of Naik Bakht, from Kisar in Turbat’s Danuk area, and an eighth-semester law student. It said he had been active in student politics with the Baloch Students Organisation-Azad (BSO-Azad) and joined the BLA in 2023.

Hammal took part in urban guerrilla activities in Turbat and moved to the front lines in 2023, according to the BLA. He later served in Tump, Kulbar, Hoshab and coastal areas and was appointed camp commander on the Kulbar front.

The profile said he continued his duties despite a serious hand injury sustained in an accident in 2025, adding that he helped protect fellow fighters during his final clash.

Jeeyand Baloch paid tribute to Hammal in the weekly statement, adding:

“The BLA remains firmly resolved to continue this armed struggle with full force until the complete withdrawal of the occupying Pakistani army.”
