The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said on Tuesday it carried out 34 operations across Balochistan between October 9 and 20, claiming that 23 Pakistani military personnel and alleged military operatives were killed, while a serving Pakistani soldier was captured.
In a statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said those killed included 14 Pakistani military personnel and nine people the group identified as Military Intelligence (MI) operatives, informants and members of state-backed armed groups. He added that fighters maintained highway blockades and vehicle inspections under the organisation’s policy of “economic blockade”.

Convoy Ambushes and IED Attacks
The BLA said its fighters targeted a military vehicle with an IED at Sajo in Harnai’s Shahrag area on October 13, claiming three personnel were killed and four seriously wounded. The vehicle was “completely destroyed”, it added.
In Kech’s Dasht area, the group claimed three personnel were killed and two wounded in an ambush at Cher Kuncheti on October 16. It also said one soldier was killed and another wounded in Zoomdan, Buleda, on October 15, when fighters attacked personnel advancing to protect military convoys.
Two more personnel were killed when fighters attacked advancing Pakistani forces in Mastung’s Dasht Baba area on October 14, according to the statement. Two military vehicles were severely damaged, the spokesperson added.
The BLA also claimed one soldier was killed in a sniper attack near Mastung’s Gurgina Grid Station and another at Soro in Manguchar on October 16.
The group said an attack in Kharan’s Dali area killed one soldier and wounded another on October 18. It also claimed one member of a bomb disposal team was killed in an IED attack in Surab’s Hajika area on October 20, while a separate blast destroyed a military vehicle at Nokchah in Chagai, killing one soldier and seriously wounding at least three.
The group also claimed attacks on a convoy of military and commercial vehicles near Simba Bridge in Khuzdar on October 14 and on forces advancing in Baghbana on October 17.
Highway Blockades and Soldier’s Capture
The BLA said its fighters controlled the CPEC route in Khuzdar’s Karkh area for three hours on October 18, searched passing vehicles and seized a vehicle carrying military supplies along with its cargo.
During the blockade, fighters captured a serving military member identified as Nadir Ali, son of Imdad Hussain, from Gul Bhat in Karkh, the group said.
According to the statement, Nadir joined the military in January 2026, underwent training in Attock, Punjab, in March and subsequently worked in a mess for five months. The BLA said interrogation was continuing and that “a final decision will be rendered by the Baloch National Court”.
In Panjgur, the group said its fighters held Star Chowk in Tasp for four hours on Monday night, seized two supply vehicles and detained another person. It claimed Pakistani forces and members of what it described as state-backed armed groups were killed or wounded when they attempted to advance into the area.
The BLA said two commercial vehicles were seized at Karodak on the Quetta–Taftan highway in Dalbandin on October 13, with one set on fire. Three more commercial vehicles were seized at the same location on October 17, according to the statement.
In Nushki’s Tarez area on October 20, fighters maintained a blockade for more than two hours and confiscated military rations from a passenger coach, the group said. The driver was released after a warning, it added.
The statement also claimed responsibility for blowing up the Panki post in Killa Abdullah and the Yakmach police station in Chagai on October 15. The group said fighters took control of the police station and destroyed surveillance cameras in Yakmach Bazaar.
In Lasbela’s Mahi Peer area, the BLA said fighters seized a police vehicle and weapons and released the police personnel after a warning. It added that fighters subsequently attacked Pakistani forces attempting to advance into the area, claiming casualties and damage without providing figures.
Killings of Alleged Military Operatives
The BLA also claimed responsibility for killing nine men it accused of working for military intelligence or state-backed armed groups, including six whom it said it executed after detention.
The group said Bahadur Khan, son of Pir Muhammad Mardan Shahi, and Sabir, son of Nadir, both from Khokap in Kharan, were executed on October 14. It accused them of delivering tracking devices and facilitating military operations through a state-backed armed group, citing what it described as confessions.
The BLA said it executed Ateeq ur Rehman, a resident of Multan, Punjab, whom it identified as an MI operative, in Kharan’s Patkin area on October 16. It added that he had been detained during highway checks and that electronic devices and communications equipment were recovered from him.
The group said it also executed Sherbaz, son of Abdul Rehman Khetran, who had been detained in Barkhan. It alleged that he was in contact with a military officer named Colonel Younus, provided information about shopkeepers and helped facilitate the enforced disappearance of four people.
In Washuk’s Urmagay area on October 18, the group said it executed Faheem, son of Sultan Ahmad, and Majeed, son of Muhammad Bakhsh, both from Khairpur in Sindh. It said they had previously been detained in Zard and accused them of acting as military informants and facilitators in Kharan and adjoining areas.
The statement also claimed one alleged member of a state-backed armed group was killed in an attack in Nasirabad, Turbat, on October 9. In Nushki Bazaar on October 15, the BLA said it killed Punhal, whom it accused of gathering intelligence “under the guise of a shopkeeper”.
The group also claimed responsibility for an ambush targeting Ahmad, whom it described as a leader of a state-backed armed group, in Panjgur’s Kalag area on October 16. One of his associates was killed and another wounded, the statement added.
Six Fighters Killed in Earlier Incidents
The BLA also released details of six of its fighters killed in separate incidents in August and September.
The group said Ishaq Shoukat, alias Meeran, was killed during clashes with Pakistani forces at Siah Chang in Chagai on September 18.
Ali, alias Salman; Ikhtiyar, alias Fareed; Sanaullah, alias Shay Mureed; and Suhail, alias Absar, were killed in fighting in Parom, Panjgur, on September19, according to the statement. The BLA claimed four Pakistani military personnel were killed, others wounded and a military vehicle destroyed in that clash.
Amanullah Mengal, alias Meerak, died on August 8 from injuries sustained in a Pakistani military quadcopter attack at Ziarat Cross, the group said.
Paying tribute to the six fighters, the BLA said its armed struggle would continue “with full intensity and strength” until the establishment of an “independent and sovereign Balochistan”.
