Five men from Punjab were killed and another seriously injured in a shooting in the Saranan Sulemanzai area of Balochistan’s Pishin district, local sources said on Monday.
The men had been detained by armed men a day earlier while travelling from Killa Abdullah, according to the sources.
Their identities had not been disclosed at the time of publication.
No group had claimed responsibility for the attack, while its motive and the identity of those involved remained unclear.
