The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said on Sunday it had killed 12 people it accused of working for the Pakistani military, Military Intelligence and pro-government armed groups in a series of operations across Balochistan’s Buleda, Mashkel, Noshki and Panjgur between March 31 and July 13.
In a detailed statement issued to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said some of the men were killed in armed attacks, while others were detained and sentenced to death by what the group calls the “Baloch National Court”.
The group accused those killed of spying on its fighters, facilitating Pakistani military operations across Balochistan, supporting pro-government armed groups and assisting in attacks against BLA fighters.
The statement said those found guilty of “high treason and severe anti-Baloch crimes” were sentenced to death and that BLA fighters later carried out the sentences at different locations.
According to the BLA, one of the operations took place on July 5 in the Alandur area of Buleda, where its fighters killed Suhail, son of Ibrahim, whom the group described as an active Military Intelligence operative. It alleged that he had played a role in the deaths of BLA fighters Jabir Naseer alias Sameer and Faqeer Jan alias Mir Jan.
The group said another operation was carried out on July 12 in Mashkel, where BLA fighters attacked what it described as a secret Military Intelligence hideout.
The statement said five operatives were killed in the attack, alleging that they had been running an espionage network for the Pakistani military under civilian cover and using a local shop as a facilitation centre and base.
In Noshki, the group said its fighters detained Haji Manan and Asif Jogezai from the Mal Doshei area before executing them at Jurkin after they were sentenced to death by the “Baloch National Court”.
The BLA accused Manan of monitoring the movements and routes of its fighters, maintaining contact with a Pakistani military officer stationed in Noshki and regularly visiting a camp operated by Hafiz Mumtaz, whom the group described as the head of a pro-government armed group.
It also alleged that Manan helped organise state-backed jirgas and establish military checkpoints, while extorting money from families of forcibly disappeared persons by falsely promising to secure their release. The statement said Asif Jogezai had assisted him in those activities.
The BLA said Tariq Badini, whom it described as another prominent agent of the Pakistani military, was killed in an armed attack in Noshki Bazaar on July 13.
The statement accused Tariq Badini of facilitating what it called staged “surrender dramas” and heading a network of military informants in Noshki city and surrounding areas.
It further alleged that he accompanied Pakistani forces during house raids, violated the sanctity of homes and harassed women and elderly residents.
The BLA also accused him of spying on his brother, Salal Badini, and cousin, Fareed Badini, saying both were forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces and later killed in custody in October 2022, with their bodies dumped in Zarin Jungle, Noshki.
The group also said it detained Aziz Ahmed, a resident of Qadirabad in Noshki, and sentenced him to death after accusing him of supplying provisions to military camps, transporting personnel between Noshki and Quetta and coercing women into working as informants.
In Panjgur, the BLA said it detained Mol Jan, son of Abdul Qudoos, and Wazeer, son of Abdul Qadir, on March 31 over their alleged involvement in a drone strike on a temporary BLA hideout in the Pardan area.
The group said the two men had been secretly affiliated with a local armed group for the previous year and had met Pakistani military officials at a military camp in January, where they were allegedly given tracking devices to monitor BLA fighters.
The statement said the two men confessed to placing the tracking devices at the temporary hideout, after which a drone strike was carried out.
The BLA said seven of its fighters were killed in the drone strike, identifying them as Abdul Ghafoor alias Chakar, Imdad alias Nood, Hafiz Mumtaz alias Zeerak, Hafiz Zaid alias Sagar, Yasir alias Hajiz, Ali Raza alias Shayak and Shahjahan alias Sawar.
The group said Mol Jan and Wazeer were sentenced by the “Baloch National Court” and executed on July 1 in the Gwargo area of Panjgur.
The BLA warned that it would continue operations against those it accused of working with Pakistani forces.
“There is no longer any safe haven left on the soil of occupied Balochistan for any national traitor, informant or death squad operative,” the statement said.
Jeeyand Baloch said those working with Pakistani forces should abandon what he described as an “anti-homeland” path, adding that the BLA’s operations against alleged collaborators had “reached a stage where no possibility of pardon, leniency or compromise remains”.
