Pakistani security forces have launched a large-scale search operation in Noshki, conducting house-to-house searches and tightening movement restrictions across the city, according to local sources.

Residents said a significant number of security personnel entered the area and began search operations in Qaziabad, where homes are being searched as part of the ongoing operation. Authorities have also established checkpoints at multiple locations, initiating vehicle inspections and patrols across major roads.

Witnesses reported that security vehicles were seen patrolling different parts of Noshki, while strict checking procedures were enforced at entry and exit points. Vehicles entering or leaving Noshki are being subjected to thorough searches.

The operation comes as a curfew remains in force in the city. Restrictions were imposed following attacks linked to the Baloch “pro-independence” group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) during the second phase of its “Operation Herof” on January 31, after which security forces intensified activities in the area.

Local residents say enforcement measures have continued for several days following the six-day takeover reported during the operation, with security actions affecting daily life across the city.

Meanwhile, citizens, traders, and transporters have urged authorities to review what they described as prolonged operations, lockdown measures, and travel restrictions. They called on the government to provide immediate relief ahead of the upcoming month of Ramadan, saying economic activity and normal routines have been severely disrupted.
