Pakistan military forces have reportedly carried out operations in several areas of Noshki district in Balochistan, according to local and regional sources.

Residents said that areas including Ghareebabad and the central market were cordoned off, shops were ordered to close, and movement was restricted. Sources stated that a search operation was launched in the affected neighbourhoods, after which the area remained under military presence. No official statement has yet been issued by government authorities regarding the operations.

Similar actions were reported a day earlier in Killi Mengal and Qadirabad, while an operation had previously taken place in Killi Jamaldini. Some local residents alleged that personnel entered homes during searches and that certain properties sustained damage.

Regional sources further reported that at least 22 individuals were detained during the recent operations and were allegedly transferred to undisclosed locations. The identities of those taken into custody have not been officially confirmed.

In a separate development, two elderly men — identified by local sources as Hafiz Abdul Sattar Mengal, a resident of Qadirabad, and Mir Abdul Razzaq Badini — were reportedly detained during house raids in Killi Mengal and Qadirabad and moved to an unknown location. Allegations of enforced disappearance have been made by local sources; however, there has been no confirmation from the authorities.

It is notable that in October 2022, Mir Abdul Razzaq Badini’s son, Fareed Badini, was killed in an alleged encounter in Kharan by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), according to official statements at the time. Family members had previously alleged that he had been forcibly disappeared from Quetta on 28 September 2022 before the reported encounter.

Following operations in Killi Jamaldini, Killi Mengal and Qadirabad, Pakistan military forces were reported to be conducting house-to-house searches in Ghareebabad, with the local market closed during the operation.

At the time of reporting, there has been no formal response from Pakistan military authorities regarding the scope, purpose or outcome of the operations.
