The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a remote-controlled IED attack on Pakistani military personnel in Balochistan’s Gwadar district, as well as the execution of two men it accused of collaborating with Pakistani intelligence services.

In a statement issued to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said fighters from the group targeted “occupying forces” in the Jiwani area of Gwadar, alleging the personnel were extorting money at an “unauthorised” checkpoint.

“One Pakistani soldier, identified as Allah Dad, was killed on the spot, while another was seriously injured,” the statement said.

Following the explosion, the BLA said, military personnel opened “indiscriminate fire” in the surrounding area, injuring civilians and detaining several individuals.

The group also announced it had executed two men—Sami Sarparah and Nizam Kurd—whom it accused of working as informants for the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Pakistani military.

According to the statement, Sami Sarparah, a resident of Nushki, was apprehended on 13 June in the Gargina area. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to being recruited by ISI handler Akhtar Badini in 2014 and to participating in operations targeting Baloch political activists.

“He admitted involvement in the enforced disappearance of Amir Jamaldini, whose mutilated body was later found,” the spokesperson claimed. “He facilitated military raids, recruited informers for death squads, and played a direct role in psychological warfare against local youth.”

The BLA said Sarparah was sentenced to death by the “Baloch National Court”—a body the group claims to use for internal trials—and the sentence was carried out on 23 June in the Lejay area.

The second individual, Nizam Kurd, was reportedly captured in the Splinji area of Mastung. The group accused him of aiding military operations and facilitating the transport of sex workers to military camps in Splinji, Kolpur, and Quetta.

“He also claimed to have been sexually exploited in exchange for money and admitted to participating in several military operations in Gokurt, Mach, Mastung, and Gwadar,” the statement said.

According to the BLA, Kurd was likewise sentenced to death by the “Baloch National Court” and executed on 24 June.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for two attacks targeting a “death squad” hideout and a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpoint.

In a statement, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said group’s fighters launched a hand grenade attack on 24 June at a compound in the Ghareebabad area of Nushki. The location, the group said, was being used by local militia leader Balkh Sher and his associates.

On 25 June, BLF fighters reportedly attacked an FC checkpoint in Kharan city using grenade launchers. The attack, which took place around 8:30 PM on Gwash Road, caused “human and material losses,” the group claimed.

The BLF said both attacks were part of its ongoing campaign against “occupying forces” and their collaborators.

Pakistani authorities had not issued an official statement regarding the claims at the time of publication.
