The Secretary General of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), Dil Murad Baloch, has held Pakistan’s Punjabi establishment responsible for Afghanistan’s decades-long turmoil and instability. He claimed that the colonial mindset and expansionist ambitions of Pakistan have not only oppressed its own marginalized nations but also destabilized a sovereign state like Afghanistan.

“Afghanistan’s devastation and 40 years of war are rooted in the colonial mindset of Pakistan’s Punjabi establishment. Until this expansionist mentality is eradicated, peace, prosperity, and humanity in the region will remain a distant dream,” he remarked.

Dil Murad Baloch emphasized the historical and fraternal ties between the Afghan and Baloch nations, highlighting how Afghans have extended hospitality to Baloch refugees during times of hardship. “Despite its challenges, Afghanistan welcomed thousands of Baloch refugees, continuing its tradition of brotherhood,” he noted.

He accused Pakistan of targeting Afghan Minister for Refugees, Khalil-ur-Rehman Haqqani, under the guise of combating ISIS, calling it an act to punish Afghanistan for its generosity toward Baloch refugees. “This incident reflects Pakistan’s inherent role as the hub of terrorism and its unchanging nature,” he said.

Dil Murad further elaborated on Pakistan’s ambitions to treat Afghanistan as its “fifth province,” describing how the state has openly exhibited such aspirations in the past. However, he praised the Afghan nation for its resilient spirit, which has historically resisted all forms of external invasions and colonial ambitions.

He alleged that Pakistan, unable to achieve its strategic goals through conventional means, is now collaborating with terrorist groups like ISIS to prevent Afghanistan from emerging as a stable and independent nation. “The Afghan people have gained historical awareness after 45 years of war. They now recognize that safeguarding their sovereignty is key to their survival. This makes it unlikely for them to fall victim to Punjabi conspiracies again,” Dil Murad asserted.

He pointed out that Pakistan’s strategy of fostering instability has consistently disrupted regional peace. “Pakistan’s policy of promoting unrest has always included Afghanistan as a key target. However, today, due to the rising Baloch national struggle and internal contradictions, Pakistan is sinking into political, economic, and military instability.”

He concluded by reiterating the Baloch nation’s unwavering commitment to its freedom movement and its solidarity with Afghanistan’s quest for peace. “The brotherly relationship between the Baloch and Afghan nations is the foundation for a bright future in the region — a future where freedom, peace, and autonomy become a reality.”
