On Wednesday, in various parts of Balochistan, at least six individuals lost their lives in separate shooting incidents and a coal mine accident.
According to the police, Arbab Ghulam Kasi, a prominent leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) and the Provincial President of the National Lawyer Forum, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants. His lifeless body was discovered in an abandoned village on the outskirts of Quetta, in Kuchlak.
The police promptly took custody of the body and subsequently transferred it to the Civil Hospital in Quetta, from where it was later returned to the family. However, the motive behind this incident remains unclear at present.
In separate reports, two other individuals were killed in fatal shooting incidents, one in Sibi and another in the Quetta district of Balochistan.
In Kalidar area of Sibi, a man named Abdul Sattar, the son of Abdul Qadir Domki, fell victim to gunfire from unidentified individuals. Similarly, in the Qambarani Road area of Quetta, another person named Ghulam Qadir was shot and killed by gunmen on Monday morning.
Additionally, two individuals lost their lives, while one sustained injuries in a clash between two groups on a main road in Quetta city, Balochistan. The deceased and the injured were swiftly transported to the Civil Hospital. However, the exact reasons behind this deadly clash remain unknown.
Moreover, in another incident, a coal miner named Ajab Khan lost his life in a landslide at the Shahrag PMDC Coal Mines Area in Harnai. Fellow workers retrieved the miner’s body from the mine and transported it to the Rural Health Center in the Shahrag area of Harnai.
