The family of Noshad Baloch, along with members of the Turbat Civil Society, convened a press conference on Thursday at the Turbat Press Club. They urged authorities to share details about Noshad’s whereabouts. Noshad Baloch reportedly went missing after being detained at the Turbat Absar checkpoint on July 31 while returning home.

Gulzar Dost, the convenor of the Turbat Civil Society, emphasized the need for transparency in the proceedings. The family clarified that Noshad was not known to be involved in any illegal activities. They added, “If evidence suggests otherwise, we request that it be presented in a court of law.”

Following the press conference, a peaceful rally took place from the Turbat Press Club Road to the Commissioner’s Office. Participants held placards and sought answers from officials regarding the student’s disappearance. The rally concluded with a demonstration outside the Commissioner’s Office in Turbat, where they appealed to officials and human rights groups to ensure Noshad’s safe return.

Forced disappearances have been a contentious issue in the region, with thousands of cases reported over the years. Pakistani Intelligence and security forces are often accused by local groups of involvement in these abductions and alleged extrajudicial actions. While Pakistan’s official stance denies such claims, evidence from activists and rights groups suggests otherwise.
