The big tech-giant company Google, and the government of Balochistan have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding the 1000 scholarships for students of Balochistan. A ceremony on Wednesday was held in this regard at Balochistan Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
Google announced the provision of 1,000 scholarships to the students of Balochistan. Secretary Information Technology Balochistan, Tayyab Lehri, and Omar Farooq, the Google team leader signed the MoU.
The aim of this initiative is to enable the youth to get online jobs by aligning them with the requirements of the modern age. An agreement has been signed between the government of Balochistan and Google regarding Google scholarships and internships for the youth of Balochistan.
Google had given 1000 scholarships to the students of Balochistan in May this year, with more than 900 youths enrolled in this program so far.
Information Secretary Muhammad Hamza Shafaqat informed about the details of the agreement saying that another 2000 scholarships will be given by Google. The scholarships that have been given include 1,000 scholarships for girls and boys.
