During the visit, Haji Lashkari Raisani said that by arranging this book fair on the first day of the New Year, the Baloch youth proved that they are making efforts to encourage book reading in Balochistan. He said that if we had promoted books and education in the past, we might not have been in the current state. Our people would have been capable to run their affairs as they pleased – we would have managed Reko Diq, Saindak and other international projects.
He said that book reading is a crucial habit in the current state of Balochistan. He said that ideological warfare is being fought in Balochistan where some elements are diverting attention away from education so that the people of Balochistan forget their national status. It is absolutely essential that these elements must not win – we have to fight and books are our only weapon.
He admired the students’ efforts and encouraged them to conduct such fairs in the future.
