A Baloch mountain climber Mansoor Qambrani, member of a hiking group ‘Mureed Adventure’, has been reportedly abducted from Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan.

As per reports, he was arrested by the security forces from his house and moved to an undisclosed location.

According to sources, Mansoor Qambrani, a resident of Quetta, was abducted during a raid at his home. According to family sources ‘Mansoor was arrested and taken to an unknown location by police and other law enforcement agencies.’

On the other hand, Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, Baloch Rights activists, students activists and others are protesting in the capital city of Balochistan on the occasion of the Baloch Missing Persons day.

Baloch social media activists are also taking part in the online campaign and demanding immediate release of all Baloch missing persons.

According to reports families of victims of ‘enforced disappearances’ are protesting in Quetta. As per latest reports, Families of the Baloch missing persons are marching on the streets of the capital city and demanding immediate release of their missing loved ones. Baloch rights activists , social activists ,political and students activists are also part of the rally.

Baloch social media activist are campaigning online, using #BalochMissingPersonsDay hashtag to raise awareness. They are urging national and international human rights groups to help the families of victims of enforced disappearances in search for their beloved ones.

It is to be remembered that on this day in 2009, Vice chairman of BSO-Azad Zakir Majeed was abducted allegedly by the Pakistani security forces from Mastung, Balochistan. Zakir Majid remains missing even after twelve years of enforced disappearance.

BSO -Azad announced to observe 08th of June as Baloch missing persons day to raise collective voice for all the Baloch missing persons since 2017.

Since then Baloch political and student activists along with rights groups observe this day as ‘Baloch Missing Persons Day’ and demand immediate release of Baloch student leader Zakir Majeed and all the other missing persons.
