At least 12 have died several others have been wounded in various incidents throughout Balochistan like firing, drowning and accidents.

According to the details, a road accident in Gaddani, Hub Chowki, killed two people and left two others critically wounded. The wounded were moved to the civil hospital in Hub Chowki for first-aid and were later shifted to Karachi. Such fatal accidents have become commonplace due to the narrow and dilapidated roads and highways in Balochistan. In Noshki, a car accident on the N-40 highway killed a woman, a resident of Quetta, and wounded five others, including children. The wounded were moved to the civil hospital in Noshki for treatment, whereas the dead body of the woman was handed over to her relatives after the postmortem investigation.

In Jhal Magsi, two girls drowned in the flood after attempting to cross it through a makeshift watercraft. The family had been reportedly stranded in the floods and had been crying for help for days, to no avail. Their food and water had depleted, prompting them to cobble a watercraft with drums, bedsteads and ropes. In the middle of the flood, the ropes holding the watercraft together loosened, drowning the two girls in the deluge. In Quetta, two people reportedly died of electric shock due to the accumulated rainwater on the streets. In Wadh, a house collapsed after heavy rainfall, killing a seven-year-old child and wounding her/his parents.

In Anjeera, Khuzdar, two armed persons reportedly breached into a house and killed two householders, Mehrullah and Nasrullah. The Levies have not carried out any arrest so far. The bullet-riddled body of a person was found in the western Balochistan who was later identified as a resident of Kech, in eastern Balochistan, named Rahmat aka Faris. In Quetta, a grenade attack at a shop on Brewery Road killed a child and left 6 people wounded. The store allegedly sold decorations and ornaments regarding the Pakistani Independence Day on 14 August. For now, no organization has claimed responsibility for the attack. It is pertinent to mention that the Baloch armed organizations have targeted multiple stalls and shops that allegedly sold decorations for the Pakistani Independence Day. Two days ago, in Hub Chowki Balochistan Liberation Army attacked a stall in front of a petrol pump, wounding 9 persons, including three Frontier Corps’ personnel. In a subsequent statement, Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson for the organization, said that BLA will continue to target any shop or stall that sells stuff regarding the Pakistani Independence Day.

In Qilla Abdullah, armed persons reportedly killed two people in Killi Maroor. The dead were later identified as Muhammad Agha and Nafeh Agha, residents of Gulistan Karez. The authorities handed over the dead bodies to the families. The police has started an investigation but no arrests have been reported so far.
