According to TBP correspondent, military raids in various localities of Mashkay, Awaran have continued since the beginning of this week.

The operation is mainly conducted in Murmaasi, Burri and Kalkakonk areas of Mashkay, the hometown of rebel leader Dr Allah Nazar.

Pakistani ground forces are aided by gunship helicopters. According to reports Pakistani security forces have also burned down many trees to clear the area.

Mashkay is one of the most restive towns of Balochistan with almost daily skirmishes between Pakistani forces and Baloch armed groups.

Local activists accuse that civilians are targeted after Pakistani security forces are attacked by Baloch armed groups. Security forces deny the allegations.

A veteran Baloch political leader has also condemned military operations in Balochistan.

Dr Hai Baloch said that scores of innocent Baloch civilians have been disappeared by Pakistani state forces.

“Baloch are being converted into a minority on their own land,” Dr Hai said in his statement.
