The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said it had executed seven men it accused of working for Pakistani forces, including one allegedly involved in the killing of Professor Ghamkhwar Hayat, while the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed five personnel were killed in a drone strike and convoy ambush in Balochistan’s Kachhi district on Sunday.

In a statement issued on Saturday, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the seven men were detained during operations in different areas of Balochistan and sentenced to death by the organisation’s “Baloch National Court” on charges of espionage, military facilitation and “national treason”.

The statement described their interrogation as “thorough and transparent” and said the sentences were carried out during October.

The BLA identified the man it accused of killing Ghamkhwar Hayat as Muhammad Murad, son of Ghulam Mustafa Mengal, a resident of Qadirabad in Nushki. It said fighters detained him in Nushki city and executed him on October 8.

According to the statement, Murad confessed that Shabbir, whom the organisation described as a “death squad” leader, and a Frontier Corps commandant had assigned him to assassinate the professor in May. They provided him with a motorcycle and a weapon, the BLA alleged, and he shot Hayat near Killi Mengal Stadium.

The BLA also accused Murad of gathering intelligence and facilitating military raids and enforced disappearances in Qadirabad, Killi Mengal and Killi Badini.

It said he had helped Pakistani forces during a March 2025 raid on the home of BLA fighter Jehanzeb Mengal, alias Balach, in Killi Qadirabad, where Jehanzeb was killed in the ensuing clash.

Four other men were executed in Quetta’s Hanna Urak area, the statement said. Ehsanullah, son of Manan Khan, and Haji Noor, son of Taj Muhammad, were killed on October 19 after what the BLA described as admissions that they had supplied Pakistani forces with rations and other military logistics.

The statement claimed Ehsanullah had supplied military installations since 2019, including FC headquarters and posts in Ghaza Band, Mach and Margat, and had received special access cards from an officer named Major Moeen. Haji Noor was accused of delivering supplies and facilitating the movement of military and gas company personnel.

Nusrat and Eesa Muhammad were executed at the same location on October 30, according to the statement, which accused them of taking part in military operations, recruiting informants and providing logistical support and armed protection for forces’ movements.

The BLA said the remaining two men, Noor Ahmad and Khan Muhammad, son of Gul Khan, were detained in Bala Dhaka, Kohlu, and executed on October 13. It said both worked in security for an unnamed company it described as “exploitative”, and accused them of guarding projects, transporting military supplies, clearing routes and gathering intelligence.

The organisation said they had repeatedly been warned to stop those activities, and threatened similar action against others it accused of assisting Pakistani forces, intelligence agencies and state-backed armed groups.

BRG Claims Drone Strike and Convoy Ambush

Meanwhile, the BRG said its “Aamir Aero Guardians” drone unit attacked a joint Pakistani military and police camp in Bagh, Kachhi district, at around 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Spokesperson Dostain Baloch claimed one member of the forces was killed and another seriously wounded. Around two hours later, he said, fighters ambushed a military convoy in the Bolan area of Kachhi with rockets and other heavy weapons.

He claimed four personnel were killed and several others wounded in the ambush, while military vehicles sustained severe damage.

Sunday’s claim comes after a succession of reported drone attacks on military camps and convoys in Balochistan during the closing days of October, with both the BLA and BRG claiming operations by dedicated drone units.

The BLA had announced its aerial and drone warfare unit, “QAHR”, as operational on February 12, and said its early operations included strikes on military and port installations at Gwadar Port during “Operation Herof II”.

The BRG announced “Aamir Aero Guardians” on October 30, when it claimed a drone attack on a military camp in Sanni, Kachhi, the previous evening. It claimed casualties and damage but gave no figures.

On November 5, the BLA claimed responsibility for three operations carried out by “QAHR” between October 26 and 30, which it said killed more than seven personnel in Surab, Kharan and Kalat.

Its statement described nine drone strikes on the military camp at Tarki Dam in Surab on October 26, followed by five strikes on a mortar pit and other defensive positions at Patkin in Kharan on October 29. Two personnel were killed and three seriously wounded in the Patkin attack, it claimed.

The BLA said three successive drone strikes targeted a military convoy at Rodenjo in Kalat on October 30, and fighters positioned along the highway launched an ambush immediately afterwards. It claimed five personnel were killed and two military vehicles severely damaged in the “coordinated drone and ground attacks”.

The organisation also released footage purportedly showing “QAHR” attacks on Pakistani military personnel and installations in Kalat, Nushki, Mastung, Qilla Abdullah and Kharan.
