Three bodies have been recovered in Balochistan’s Kech district, including that of Sameer Baloch, whose family said Pakistani forces had taken him from his home and forcibly disappeared him. Three other people were reportedly taken away in Kech, while reports have also emerged of four previously missing men’s return home.
Sameer’s body was found near a water supply facility in Dazan, Tump. He was the son of Nasir and a resident of Gobard in Mand, where his family and local sources said Pakistani forces took him from his home on the night of October 24.

Local sources said Waseem Baloch, son of Sattar, and Sagheer Baloch and Zaheer Baloch, both sons of Sawal Muhammad, were also taken into custody and forcibly disappeared that night. All three remain missing.
Another body recovered in Tump’s Aasiabad area was identified as Adam, son of Waleed Ahmed, a local resident. According to reports, unidentified individuals had abducted him a few days earlier.
In Buleda, the body of Asim, son of Liaqat, was found with bullet wounds in Sorap. Police said Asim was a resident of Bat Kaur-e-Pusht and his body had been transferred for legal formalities, although the motive for the killing remained unclear.
Separately, unidentified armed men shot dead a local man in Diyat, on the outskirts of Turbat. His identity and further details of the incident had not been released.
A shooting was also reported in Panwan, Jiwani, in Gwadar district, where Muhammad Anwar Baloch, the captain of a local fishing boat, was wounded. Local sources accused members of a state-backed armed group, referred to locally as a “death squad”, of carrying out the attack.
The sources said gunmen had opened fire on workers transporting oil in the same area on October 14, killing two people and wounding several others.
Three Reported ‘Forcibly Disappeared’ in Kech
Meanwhile, local sources said Pakistani forces and members of a “death squad” had taken three people into custody in Kech’s Pul Abad area and forcibly disappeared them.
Two were identified as Abdullah, son of Rashid, and Saleem, son of Ghulam Qadir, while the identity of the third person had not been established.
The term “death squad” is used locally for armed groups accused of operating with state backing and targeting civilians, political activists and others.
Four Missing Men Return Home
Four men who had allegedly been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces have returned home, according to reports.
Mahmood, son of Hashim and a resident of Jain Parom in Panjgur, was recovered in Panjgur on October 31 after his reported disappearance on October 2.
Waqas Baloch, son of Ehsanullah, from Dera Ghazi Khan, was recovered in Rawalpindi on November 5, six days after he was reportedly forcibly disappeared.
Jawad Shad, son of Dilshad and a resident of Aapsar in Turbat, returned home after his recovery in Quetta on November 6. He had reportedly been forcibly disappeared on September 20.
The reports also noted the earlier return of Shafiq Ahmed, son of Noor Muhammad, from Surab. He was reportedly recovered in Quetta on May 17, 2026, after his disappearance on November 5, 2025.
Sources said the families had confirmed the men’s return home and expressed relief.

Enforced disappearances remain a longstanding issue in Balochistan, where families and human rights organisations have repeatedly demanded information about missing people and raised concerns over the recovery of their bodies.
The Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB) documented 54 enforced disappearances in its September report, including five cases from earlier months. Nine teenagers, two women and a young girl were among those reported missing, while most of those listed remained unaccounted for.
The organisation also documented 66 killings, including those of 14 previously disappeared people. These included targeted killings and alleged deaths in custody.
