The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released details of four of its members who were killed in separate incidents across different operational fronts in Balochistan, according to a statement published on the group’s official channel.

The group identified the deceased as Mushtaq Mengal alias Kohyar, Abu Bakar Nichari alias Lali, Inayatullah Bangulzai alias Bahawal, and Mir Muhammad Iqbal Shahwani alias Master.

According to the statement, Mushtaq Mengal alias Kohyar, son of Abdul Sattar Mengal, was a resident of Basima and had completed his FSc education. The BLA said he joined the organisation’s urban guerrilla network in 2021 before being transferred to a mountainous operational front in February 2022. The group stated that he was active in Bolan, Noshki and Basima, where he served in patrol command roles. The BLA said he was killed on 16 August 2026 in the Zeek area of Basima.

The group said that Abu Bakar Nichari alias Lali, son of Muhammad Akbar Nichari and a resident of Killi Kamalo in Quetta’s Sariab area, held a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. According to the BLA, he joined the group in September 2025 and remained active on the Kalat and Zehri fronts. The group stated that he was killed on 11 August 2026 in Sohinda, Zehri.

The statement further identified Inayatullah Bangulzai alias Bahawal, son of Rahmatullah Bangulzai and a resident of Surkhain, Kalat. The BLA said he joined the organisation in May 2025 and was active on the Nagahoo front in Kalat. According to the group, he was killed on 18 August 2026 during an incident in Hajika, Surab.

The fourth individual named by the group was Mir Muhammad Iqbal Shahwani alias Master, son of Mir Haji Khan Muhammad Shahwani and a resident of Killi Sarde in Quetta’s Sariab area. The BLA said he had completed FSc studies and was also receiving religious education. According to the statement, he joined the organisation on 11 June 2024 and was active on its urban guerrilla front in Quetta. The group stated that he was killed on 29 July 2026 in Killi Sarde, Quetta.

In its statement, the BLA’ spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch described the four men as committed members of the group and outlined their roles, activities and contributions within the group. The BLA also paid tribute to them and reiterated its political objectives.
