Security-related incidents were reported from several districts of Balochistan on Friday, including an explosion targeting a Pakistani military convoy in Kech, the reported destruction of a bridge in Surab and a drone attack on a military camp in Noshki.

According to local sources, a powerful explosion occurred in the Redig area of Mand, Kech district. Witnesses reported hearing heavy gunfire shortly after the blast.

Sources said a vehicle travelling as part of a Pakistani military convoy was targeted in the explosion and was reportedly destroyed. Unconfirmed reports also suggested possible casualties. However, no official confirmation has been issued regarding deaths or injuries, and the exact extent of the damage remains unclear.

In a separate incident, a bridge located on the Quetta–Karachi Highway in the Mal Shahorai area of Surab was reportedly damaged in a powerful explosion.

Local sources said the blast caused significant damage to the structure and may affect traffic movement along the highway. Authorities had not released an official assessment of the damage at the time of reporting.

Meanwhile, reports emerged from the Sultan Charahi area of Noshki claiming that a drone strike targeted a camp used by Pakistani forces.

According to local sources, the attack may have resulted in casualties, although no official statement has been issued by the authorities. As of the latest reports, no group had claimed responsibility for the alleged drone strike.

The incidents come amid heightened security concerns across Balochistan, where attacks targeting Pakistani forces, police personnel and transport infrastructure have been reported in recent months.

According to open-source data compiled by the South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP), 176 security-related incidents were recorded in Balochistan during July 2026, resulting in 438 reported deaths, including 127 members of the Pakistani security forces.

The same data indicates that between January and July 2026, a total of 765 incidents and approximately 1,600 fatalities were recorded across Balochistan. Reported methods of attack during this period included suicide bombings, ambushes, coordinated multi-location assaults, attacks on infrastructure and the use of drones.

No official statements had been issued regarding the incidents in Kech, Surab or Noshki at the time of publication. Authorities have also not confirmed reports of casualties or identified those responsible for the attacks.
