Four police officers were reportedly taken away by armed men in the coastal area of Kantani Haor in Gwadar district on Thursday, according to local sources.
Sources said the incident occurred while the officers were carrying out routine duties in the area. According to the reports, a group of armed men surrounded the officers and took control of them without significant resistance.
The armed individuals allegedly seized the officers’ official weapons and the government vehicle they were using before leaving the area.
Local sources further stated that the four officers were taken to an undisclosed location, and their whereabouts remain unknown.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the incident.
Authorities have not yet issued a detailed official statement regarding the identities of the officers, their current status, or the circumstances surrounding the reported abduction.
The incident comes amid heightened security tensions across several parts of Balochistan, where military operations, armed attacks and security-related incidents have been reported in recent days. Independent verification of developments in remote areas remains difficult due to limited official information and restricted communications in some districts.
