Several Pakistani forces personnel were reportedly killed and injured in separate attacks in Kech, Mastung and Washuk districts of Balochistan, while the Baloch Republican Guards claimed responsibility for attacks on electricity and communication infrastructure in Naseerabad and Kachhi.

According to reports, at least two Pakistani forces personnel were killed and several others injured in an IED attack in the Jabshan area of Zamuran tehsil in Kech district.

Following the blast, Pakistani forces cordoned off the site and shifted the dead and injured personnel to a nearby camp.

In another attack in Kech district, several Pakistani forces personnel were reportedly killed and injured during clashes with armed fighters near the Surap border in Mand.

An official source confirmed the incident, saying the clash took place at around 9am on Sunday. Following the attack, Pakistani forces closed the border and launched an operation in the area.

In Mastung district, armed men seized a vehicle carrying supplies for the Pakistani army at Daghari Cross in the Dasht area and later set it on fire.

Separately, in Washuk district’s Basima area, armed fighters seized another vehicle carrying rations for a Pakistani military camp.

No group had claimed responsibility for the attacks in Kech, Mastung and Washuk at the time of publication.

The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), meanwhile, claimed responsibility for attacks on electricity and communication infrastructure in Naseerabad and Kachhi.

In a statement, BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said the group’s fighters destroyed two main electricity transmission towers near Dera Murad Jamali in Naseerabad by planting explosives and detonating them, adding that the towers were part of the transmission line connected to the Uch Power Plant.

The group said two towers “collapsed completely” in the blast, while another was severely damaged. It further claimed that Pakistani forces opened “indiscriminate fire” from their checkpoints towards nearby civilian areas after the explosions.

In a separate statement, the BRG said its fighters destroyed a mobile phone tower in Haji Shahr in the Bala Nari area of Kachhi district by setting it on fire along with its machinery and related equipment.

The group described the tower as being installed for “surveillance purposes”, adding that it would continue targeting Pakistani forces, “enemy collaborators” and military installations until what it described as the “independence of Balochistan”.
