A cultural and musical gathering was held on Friday in memory of fighters killed during the Baloch Liberation Army’s “Operation Herof II”.

Balochi and Brahui-language artists Ustad Mir Ahmed Baloch, Meeral Baloch, Sawal Qandeel and Sarfaraz Wahid performed poetry and songs at the event, paying tribute to those killed in the operation.

During “Operation Herof II,” the BLA carried out a coordinated series of attacks between January 31 and February 6 across 14 districts of Balochistan.

The group claimed that 93 of its fighters were killed during the second phase of “Operation Herof”, including 50 “fidayeen” from its Majeed Brigade.

It further claimed to have killed 362 personnel of Pakistan’s armed forces, including members of the Frontier Corps, Pakistan Navy, Inter-Services Intelligence, Counter Terrorism Department, as well as individuals it referred to as “death squad operatives”.
