At least nine individuals were reportedly subjected to enforced disappearance in different areas of Balochistan in recent days, while six others who had previously been taken into custody have since been released, according to local sources and families.

Reports indicate that on the night of 10 March, Pakistani forces allegedly detained Qambar, son of Imam Baloch, during a raid on his home in the Panwan area of Jiwani in Gwadar District and transferred him to an undisclosed location. On the same day, Zaim, son of Muhammad Raheem, was also reportedly detained in the same area and remains missing.

On 11 March, Khalid Habib, son of Habibullah, was reportedly taken into custody by Pakistani forces in the Josak Sari Kahn area of Turbat in Kech District and moved to an unknown location.

In Panjgur District, Jasif, son of Arif, was reportedly detained in the Tasp area and subsequently disappeared.

Similar reports were received from Quetta, where Nabi Bakhsh Baloch, son of Behram Baloch, was allegedly taken from his home in the Killi Qambrani area and transferred to an undisclosed location. In Noshki, Mudassir, son of Faizullah, was also reportedly detained in the Killi Jamaldini area and has since been missing.

Meanwhile, five individuals who had previously been detained were later released. Among them is Kaleemullah, son of Asadullah and a resident of Khudabadan in Panjgur, who was reportedly released on 12 March 2026 at Hub Chowki.

Similarly, Zahid, son of Abdul Rehman and a resident of Jiwani, was reportedly released on 26 February after being taken into custody.

Two others, Adnan, son of Dil Murad, and Ahsan, son of Dil Murad, both residents of Jiwani, were reportedly released on 3 and 9 March respectively.

In another case, Abdul Wahab, son of Abdul Ghani and a resident of Greshag in Khuzdar District, was reportedly released in Lahore on 10 March after being taken into custody earlier.

Families of the affected individuals have appealed to international organisations and human rights groups to take notice of the reported enforced disappearances in Balochistan and to help ensure the recovery of those who remain missing.
