The BLA has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks in Mastung, Panjgur and Dera Murad Jamali, stating that seven members of the Pakistani armed forces were killed and several others injured.
In a statement issued to the media, spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said the group carried out three separate attacks targeting Pakistani force convoys and a checkpoint in different parts of Balochistan.
According to the statement, in the Splinji, Meero area of Mastung, BLA fighters ambushed a convoy of approximately 12 vehicles. The group claimed it used rockets and other heavy weapons during the attack, and that a sniper team inflicted further casualties. The BLA alleged that three personnel were killed at the scene and several others injured.
The group also claimed responsibility for an attack on 10 February in the Parom area of Panjgur, where it said a convoy of multiple vehicles was targeted in an ambush. The BLA stated that four security personnel were killed and others wounded. The spokesperson further alleged that a quadcopter deployed during the incident was shot down.
In a separate incident, the BLA said it carried out a grenade attack on a security checkpoint in Dera Murad Jamali overnight. According to the group, three personnel were injured in the attack. The checkpoint was reportedly assigned to railway track clearance duties.
The BLA said it accepts responsibility for the attacks and indicated that such operations would continue.
In a separate statement, the United Baloch Army (UBA) also claimed responsibility for an attack in Kachhi district. Spokesperson Mazar Baloch said that at approximately 11:15am, the group targeted a convoy of around 10 vehicles travelling between Dhadar and Sanni, in the Nohaisham area. The convoy was reportedly heading towards a central checkpoint when it was fired upon with automatic weapons.
The UBA claimed that two personnel were killed and several others seriously injured. The group said it accepts responsibility for the attack.
There has been no immediate confirmation of the claimed casualties from Pakistani authorities.
