Residents of Dalbandin’s Zahoor Colony held a protest on Tuesday after a local brother and sister were allegedly taken into custody by Pakistan Army personnel and subsequently reported missing.
According to local sources, security personnel detained the two siblings on Monday and transferred them to an undisclosed location, after which their whereabouts remain unknown. The individuals have been identified as Zubair, son of Mohammad Rahim, and Rahima, daughter of Mohammad Rahim.
Residents stated that security forces conducted searches of several houses during the operation and that some locals reported incidents of harassment and rough treatment. Residents staged a protest against the incident on the highway road.
This incident follows a similar case involving Mahjabeen Baloch and her brother Younus, who were detained earlier this year. Younus was later released, while Mahjabeen remains missing according to family members.
In another reported case, Nasreen Baloch was detained in Hub Chowki and has not been located since, with her family stating they have received no information regarding her status.
Local activists and community members say that reports of disappearances involving Baloch women have contributed to growing public concern and frustration in Balochistan.
