The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani security forces and alleged state-backed armed groups in different parts of Balochistan.
In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the group’s fighters carried out coordinated attacks in Awaran, Jhao, and the Parom area of Panjgur, resulting, according to the group, in the deaths of two military personnel and two alleged members of a “death squad,” while several others were injured.
According to the BLF, on 6 December, its fighters were conducting routine patrol in the Parom area when they were allegedly pursued by armed men described by the group as part of a state-backed militia. The group claimed its fighters took defensive positions and ambushed the pursuing vehicles, destroying one vehicle and killing two of its occupants. The BLF further alleged that other armed men fled the scene and that later a military contingent arrived and removed the bodies and damaged vehicle.
The group also claimed that on 7 December, its fighters carried out a sniper attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpoint in the Teertaj Jak mountain area of Awaran, killing an FC soldier. The BLF claimed that after the attack, security forces attempted to target the attackers using a quadcopter drone, which the group says it shot down.
In another claimed incident the same day, the BLF said its fighters carried out a sniper attack on a military checkpoint in Doliji, Jhao, killing one soldier. The group alleged that security forces responded with mortar fire in the surrounding area.
The BLF also paid tribute to Sajid Baloch alia Kaka Rahmat, who the group says died on 1 December 2025 after being bitten by poisonous insects while on organizational duty. The group described him as a long-time member who joined in 2013 and had been active in armed operations across several districts.
According to the BLF, Sajid Baloch joined the organization in 2013 and initially remained active in what the group described as its “urban front” before moving to mountainous areas in 2014. The group stated that he was involved in its internal organizational and operational work over the years.
The group claimed that Sajid Baloch had participated in activities in several areas including Tump, Mand, Turbat, Gwadar, Zamuran, and Dasht, and said he was known within its ranks by the nickname “Tik Teer” due to his fighting skills.
