The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on Sunday said its fighters carried out a series of attacks across Balochistan, targeting Pakistani security forces, military positions and vehicles, and claimed to have executed three intelligence “agents” after the “Baloch National Court” sentenced them to death.
In a media statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the operations took place in Surab, Zehri, Nushki, Kalat and Kharan.
According to the group, two Pakistani soldiers were killed on Sunday when its fighters attacked troops setting up a roadblock at Badal Kariz Cross in Nushki. The BLA also said it destroyed two surveillance cameras installed by the military in Nushki’s Ghareebabad area on 25 September.
In Surab’s Khesun Dun area, the group said fighters blocked the highway for two hours on Saturday, carrying out snap checks. On the same day, it said a vehicle transporting minerals was damaged in an armed attack in Kalat’s Khazinai area.
The BLA said its fighters ambushed troops in Kalat’s Zawah area on 26 September as they attempted to advance, inflicting casualties.
The group said three men it identified as Ghulam Hussain, Daulat Khan and Ishaq Nechari were captured during separate operations in Zehri, Kharan and Kalat. It alleged that all three confessed to working with the Pakistani military in raids, enforced disappearances and highway blockades.
According to the statement, the “Baloch National Court” convicted the men of treason and sentenced them to death. The BLA said the executions were subsequently carried out.
The group reiterated that its operations against “the occupying army and its collaborators” will continue until the “freedom of Balochistan” is achieved.
There was no immediate response from Pakistani authorities to the claims.
