Pakistani security forces have reportedly forcibly disappeared four Baloch men from the Kech and Barkhan districts of Balochistan, according to local sources.
The missing men have been identified as Mehran Baloch, Nizam Baloch, Abdul Rehman Sailani, and Adnan, son of Ghafoor.
Sources said Mehran Baloch and Nizam Baloch were detained by Pakistani forces in the Sarnakan area of Kech district. Their whereabouts remain unknown.
In a separate incident, Abdul Rehman Sailani was reportedly taken into custody by Pakistani forces on 15 July in the Rakhni area of Barkhan district. His whereabouts also remain unknown.
On Sunday night, Pakistani forces detained Adnan, son of Ghafoor, from the Darchko area of Dasht in Kech district. He was reportedly transferred to an undisclosed location, and his whereabouts are also unknown.
Cases of enforced disappearance are reported on a near-daily basis in Balochistan, with protests taking place across the region. Families of the forcibly disappeared and leaders of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) have been staging a protest in Islamabad for more than ten days, demanding the release of missing persons. Several incidents of harassment of the protesting families have also been reported during this period.
