Nine Baloch men have reportedly been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces from two different areas of Balochistan.

In Pasni, local sources said two men were detained by security personnel and taken to an undisclosed location. The individuals were identified as Yar Jan, son of Dad Bakhsh, and Sher Jan, son of Sheikh Dostain—both residents of Ward No. 1, Babbar Shor. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

Meanwhile, on Monday morning, Pakistani forces reportedly carried out a raid and search operation in the Dasht Balnigor area of Kech. Residents said homes were aggressively searched, and women and children were harassed during the operation.

Seven young men were taken into custody and moved to an unknown location. They were identified as Naveed son of Latif, Salman son of Dr. Syed Muhammad, Haneef son of Bakhshi, Naseer son of Washdil, Afraz son of Naseer, Kamal son of Safa, and Phullain son of Safa.

Enforced disappearances have long been a deeply contentious issue in Balochistan, where human rights groups accuse the Pakistani state of systematically targeting civilians, students, and political activists without due process or accountability.

Families of the disappeared often report daylight abductions carried out without warrants or formal charges, leaving them with no legal recourse.

Human rights groups have repeatedly condemned the practice. In a recent statement, Amnesty International said enforced disappearances “run contrary to Pakistan’s international human rights obligations” and called on authorities to conduct “prompt, thorough and effective investigations,” disclose the fate and whereabouts of the disappeared, and ensure their immediate release.
