A resident of Mastung district has accused Pakistani security forces of killing his son and has called for justice and legal action against those responsible.

Speaking at a press conference at the Sarawan Press Club on Thursday, Sayed Manzoor Shah said his son, Sayed Ehsan Shah, was shot dead by personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) near Lakpass earlier this week.

“My son had gone to Quetta on 2 June for Eid shopping,” he said. “He stayed overnight at a relative’s house and left for Mastung the next day.”

Mr Shah said he was initially informed by the local administration that his son had been injured in a road accident. “But when I arrived, I learned that he had been shot and killed by the FC,” he said.

He rejected the official version of events and described the incident as an “extrajudicial killing.”

“This is an act of injustice, and I demand justice,” he said. “My young son was martyred by the FC without cause while walking on the road.”

No official response has yet been issued by the Frontier Corps or local authorities regarding the allegations.
