A series of coordinated attacks targeting Pakistani security forces, infrastructure, and resource transport vehicles were reported across Balochistan this week, with three “pro-independence” Baloch armed groups claiming responsibility for several of the incidents.

Gas Pipeline and Telecom Tower Attacked

On Wednesday night, a gas pipeline was blown up in the Tobo area of Dera Bugti district. Local sources said explosives were used to destroy the main valve of a gas well operated by the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL).

The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for the pipeline attack. In a statement, BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said the group had carried out the operation and vowed to continue such attacks “until the liberation of Balochistan is achieved.”

The same night, a telecommunications tower belonging to the Ufone company was attacked in the Haji Shar area of Kachhi. Equipment at the tower was reportedly damaged.

In a statement issued on Thursday, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group carried out the telecom tower attack. “BLA fighters targeted a Ufone communication tower in Haji Shar, Kachhi, destroying its equipment,” he said, adding that such infrastructure supports “military logistics and surveillance.

BLA Claims Four Attacks in Kech

Meanwhile, four attacks in Kech district’s Zamuran region have been claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

According to the BLA, its fighters used a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) to strike a Pakistani bomb disposal squad in Dashtok on Wednesday. “One enemy personnel was killed instantly in the explosion,” the group claimed.

Later that afternoon, BLA fighters reportedly destroyed a military supply truck en route to a Pakistani army camp in Sahdem, also using an IED.

On Thursday, the group said its fighters launched separate armed attacks on two military checkpoints, one in Katagan and another in Sahdem.

In the Sahdem assault, the BLA said it used automatic weapons and grenade launchers, claiming, “At least two enemy personnel were killed and three others injured.”

The group added that Pakistani forces have started “seeking alternative methods to fulfill their logistical needs,” including enlisting local civilians in Zamuran and Tigraan through “token-based business schemes.”

Jeeyand Baloch warned locals not to collaborate with the army. “The BLA has previously issued clear warnings urging locals to refrain from assisting the occupying military in any form… or else they will be held responsible for the consequences to their lives and property,” the statement said.

Attack on Mineral Transport Vehicles in Mastung

In Mastung district, two trucks carrying chromite were fired upon in the Choto area on Thursday. The vehicles were damaged, although no casualties were reported.

The BLA claimed responsibility for the attack, alleging the trucks were involved in the “plundering of Baloch resources.”

The group said the attack was part of its broader campaign against the “economic exploitation” by the Pakistani state and corporate interests. “These vehicles are used in looting national wealth that does not benefit the Baloch people,” the BLA said.

Sniper Attack Claimed by BLF in Kolwah

In a separate attack, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for a sniper assault on a Pakistani military outpost in the Kolwah region.

According to a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the attack took place around 4:00 PM on Thursday in the Madag area of Dandar, Kolwah. The group said one soldier was “eliminated on the spot” and that video footage of the attack would be released via its media channel, Aashob.

“Our attacks will continue until the complete withdrawal of the occupying Pakistani military forces,” the statement said.

Military Operation Launched in Bolan

Amid the surge in attacks, Pakistani security forces have launched a large-scale military operation in Bolan district, with troop movements reported in the Saangan, Jalari, and nearby areas. Ground troops are reportedly supported by aerial surveillance.

The offensive comes after an IED attack earlier in the week near Machh, claimed by the BLA. The group said it had targeted a military convoy using a remote-controlled bomb.

Video footage released by the BLA shows a 10-member bomb disposal unit failing to detect the device ahead of the convoy’s arrival. The group claimed the explosion destroyed a military vehicle and killed all 12 personnel on board, including Commander Tariq Imran and Subedar Umar Farooq.

“Our fighters waited for the exact moment and detonated the device, destroying the military vehicle completely,” the statement said. “The purpose of the attack was to prevent an anticipated military operation in the region.”

The Pakistan Army’s media wing, ISPR, confirmed the incident but reported seven soldiers killed and five injured. No comment was made on the released footage.
