The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released a detailed video documenting its 11 March 2025 attack on the Jaffar Express train in Balochistan’s Bolan region.

The 35-minute video, titled Operation Dara-e-Bolan, was published on the group’s official media channel Hakkal, and features combat footage, planning scenes, and final recorded messages from fighters involved in the operation.

According to the BLA, Operation Dara-e-Bolan was conducted in two phases. The first phase concluded in February 2024 with the capture of Mach town and control over a 70-kilometre radius, including sections of the strategic NH-65 highway.

The group claimed that 78 Pakistani personnel were killed during this offensive, while 13 of its fighters, including one member of the Fateh Squad and 12 ‘fidayeen’ from the Majeed Brigade, were also killed.

The second phase began on 11 March 2025 and included two high-profile attacks: the hijacking of the Jaffar Express and a suicide vehicle-borne IED (VBIED) attack on a military convoy in Noshki.

According to a statement issued by the group on 18 March, this week-long offensive resulted in what it described as “the biggest defeat for the Pakistani army in its history in Balochistan.” The BLA claimed to have killed over 354 military personnel, injured more than 100, and captured 214.

The video opens with a previously unreleased statement by the late General Aslam Baloch, former BLA chief and founder of the Majeed Brigade. “To stop the gun, we need a gun,” he says. “Today, Baloch youth have decided to attack the enemy without fear for their lives. The objective behind these sacrifices is sacred—it must be protected.”

Footage shows BLA fighters preparing for the ambush, planting explosives on railway tracks near Mashkaf, and lying in wait. After the explosion halted the train, fighters stormed the carriages and detained dozens of Pakistani military personnel. Civilian passengers, including women and children, were shown being released unharmed.

BLA chief Bashir Zeb Baloch also appears in the video, stating: “There is no path left for us other than war—and there never will be. Let us rise against this enemy with a war that is swift and utterly ruthless.”

The group claimed that the 214 captives were identified as members of the Pakistan Army, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and other paramilitary forces. They were classified as prisoners of war. The BLA issued a 48-hour ultimatum demanding the unconditional release of Baloch political prisoners and forcibly disappeared persons.

On 14 March, the BLA announced that it had executed all 214 captives, stating that the Pakistani government refused to negotiate. “Due to the enemy’s stubbornness and refusal to exchange prisoners of war, all the hostages were executed,” the statement read.

‘Fidayeen’ Farewell Messages

The latter half of the Baloch Liberation Army’s (BLA) video features farewell messages from the ‘fidayeen’—suicide fighters of the Majeed Brigade—who participated in the second phase of Operation Dara-e-Bolan.

The fighters explain their ideological motivations, personal convictions, and calls to action directed at the Baloch nation.

In his message, ‘Fidayee’ Ehkam Baloch begins by saluting fallen comrades, stating, “They left their homes, their siblings, and their parents—for us. The youth are sacrificing their lives for us.”

He calls his decision to join the operation a conscious choice rooted in “a profound philosophy,” urging Baloch families to support their youth who choose to fight. “Be their supporters, be their strength, be like Lumma Yasmeen for them,” he says.

Addressing his own family, he adds, “Don’t worry about me. I am not the only son you have—many others are making sacrifices too. This army, this state, throws our brothers and sisters into dungeons. The only fitting response is to drive this military out of our homeland.”

‘Fidayee’ Usama Baloch echoes similar sentiments. “There can be no reconciliation with the Punjabis and their collaborators,” he says, calling on the Baloch people to act as a shield for their brothers.

In a personal note to his family, he acknowledges the pain his decision may cause: “You may feel grief… but bear it with patience and courage.” He warns them against falling for state pressure or propaganda, and asks them not to be used for political purposes after his death.

“This is not a goodbye—we are together,” he concludes.

‘Fidayee’ Parvaiz delivers one of the most detailed and ideologically charged statements. He salutes the “martyrs, prisoners, and mothers of the Baloch movement before stating that the Baloch struggle has entered a decisive third phase: direct confrontation.”

Referencing past “martyrs” including Sumaiya, Shari, and Mahal, he says, “Our sisters are now strapping explosives to their bodies and striking the enemy. How can we remain idle?”

He warns against complacency, especially among Baloch youth choosing comfort or emigration. “Now is the time… you must bring intensity to the war, shed blood, and make sacrifices—so that the coming generation, nurtured on the scent of gunpowder, will carry this struggle forward.”

He also criticises previous generations for a lack of intensity in warfare. “If you want to shorten this guerrilla journey, you must fight like the Vietnamese—strike such fear into the enemy that even their dead are not recovered.”

Parvaiz urges young Baloch to choose between two paths: a distant, low-intensity guerrilla war, or a closer, bloodier confrontation through ‘fidayeen’ operations. “If you want to bring the goal closer… you must become part of the Majeed Brigade, part of the Baloch Liberation Army, companions of the Sarmachars.”

‘Fidayee’ Shawaiz closes the segment with a message about loss and resilience. “The occupying state is committing genocide; our mothers and sisters are on the streets,” he says. “When two brothers disappear from one household, what must those mothers endure?” He emphasizes that for these families, “the only hope is us, the resistance fighters.”

To those he accuses of serving “Punjabi interests,” he adds a final warning: “Know that your days are numbered.”
